According to Foresight News, SlowMist founder Yu Jian has reported a security breach involving the exposure of mnemonic phrases. A user had four mnemonic phrases leaked, leading to the theft of funds from four corresponding wallet addresses. The hacker converted the stolen assets into ETH and laundered them through FixedFloat.
Yu Jian emphasized the risks associated with prolonged online exposure and widespread distribution of mnemonic phrases or private keys. He warned that the longer these are used online and shared among multiple users, the higher the likelihood of leakage, making it increasingly difficult to trace the source of the breach.#SecurityBreach #MnemonicPhrase #DataSecurity #Cryptocurrency #Hacking #WalletSecurity #PrivateKey #FundTheft #Eth #BlockchainSecurity #ETH
