So, I’ve got some good news and some bad news.

The bad news first… there won’t be any new regular high quality handmade themes for now. Telegram’s been changing a lot lately and they’re putting most of their focus on premium stuff. Basically they care more about selling color packs than letting users enjoy their favorite custom themes. Now you’re forced to see whatever random “gift color” someone bought 😅.
Most of the theme variables are getting hardcoded or locked to premium, which makes it a real pain to build themes that work smoothly without bugs. I might still make a few new ones from time to time, but not as often as before. It’s just getting harder than it used to be.

Now for the good part!
All the old themes I made are staying alive. I’ll keep updating them, fixing bugs, and making sure they work with every Telegram update. That’s 100% guaranteed.

Telegram’s clearly trying to make premium users feel special with all these interface changes, and honestly there’s not much I can do about that. But I’m hoping the upcoming 12.2.2 update (which brings a big UI change) will make things a bit better. Maybe they’ll finally add proper variables for the new stuff they keep adding.

Bringing iOS design to Android is seriously the worst idea. I mean, if I wanted Telegram for iOS, I’d just use an iPhone, right? Now the old themes are all messed up, the new UI feels broken, settings icons are stuck, and some theme editing panels don’t even show up. Most themes in every channel are buggy or completely broken. This isn’t some biggest update it’s honestly the worst. I’ll do my best to fix the most used themes on my channel one by one, so just be patient.

I created a beautiful theme, but unfortunately I can’t publish it due to critical bugs in the latest update. 😢

⚠️ Statement


Hi everyone
Many of you mentioned that the top icons are not visible. I just want to clarify that this issue is coming from Telegram itself, not from my themes. I have already checked everything on my side and as shown in the video, the correct color variables and hex codes are already applied so there is nothing left for me to fix
These are UI bugs from Telegram and they are affecting the experience. I am still working on themes and currently working on an updated Unigram theme but the current UI situation is not ideal
Hope this makes things clear and thanks for using Vanilla themes
