We regularly see headlines about DeFi protocols getting hit: losing millions, users losing funds, projects shutting down. That’s exactly why security has always been one of the core priorities behind Storm Trade.
Yesterday, April 21, Storm’s infrastructure was targeted by a large-scale coordinated attack. The attacker compromised part of the infrastructure services, including the oracle subsystem, and attempted to manipulate asset prices.
The objective was clear — to drain funds from the protocol as quickly as possible. This is the exact scenario that has impacted dozens of projects across the industry.
However, Storm Trade was prepared for this.
Our monitoring systems detected abnormal activity at an early stage, and the team immediately paused the protocol before the attack could cause significant damage.
Confirmed damage is less than 2,000 TON (under 0.03% of TVL).
For context, similar attacks in the market have led to losses ranging from hundreds of thousands to hundreds of millions of dollars. In our case, a multi-layered security architecture allowed us to contain the incident with minimal impact, fully covered by internal buffers.
What you need to know now:
Your funds are safe and protected by multisig.
• The TON Foundation has been notified, and next steps are being coordinated jointly.
• Withdrawals from vaults and unstaking are temporarily available via SDK (a user-friendly UI is already in development).
• Funds in open positions remain within the protocol and are fully protected. We will provide a transparent mechanism for returning them to users.
• The protocol will resume operations after a full incident investigation, an independent security audit, and a complete infrastructure rebuild.
What’s next: Today, the entire team is focused on one thing — bringing Storm back stronger, more resilient, and more secure than ever.
This incident proved the most important point: Storm Trade withstood a serious attack and validated the effectiveness of its multi-layered security system, combining technical safeguards, economic constraints, and real-time monitoring.
Thank you to everyone who stays with us.
Your Storm Trade team

🚀 The TON blockchain just got upgraded and is now 10× faster.
⚡️ Block rate increased 6×.
⏱ Transactions are now instant, subsecond.
🪙 This was step 1 of 7 to Make TON Great Again (MTONGA).
Next step: cut the already low transaction fees by 6×. ✂️

Blockchain Fee Reduction
The TON Core team has prepared a blockchain update to reduce fees by 6x, in line with Pavel Durov’s MTONGA plan.
This update includes:
1) Performance improvements
The previous Sub-Second update improved not only operation speed but also overall blockchain performance, making a fee reduction possible. Since then, additional optimizations and performance improvements have also been implemented, including a new mempool based on a persistent Cartesian tree.
2) Fixes
In addition to performance improvements, this update will include fixes for issues identified on mainnet after the Sub-Second release. In particular, it addresses loss of synchronization on some liteservers and rare block rate instability.
Planned Schedule:
April 28, 2026 12:00 UTC — Validator software update.
April 30, 2026 13:00 UTC — Vote to lower gas prices in the blockchain configuration.
Lower fees are important for the next stages of the MTONGA plan. Since fees do not constitute a significant portion of validator rewards, validator rewards are expected to decrease by less than 0.4%.
Mainnet validator operators are asked to be prepared to update their software on 28 April and to participate in the vote on 30 April.

Agentic Wallets on TON: enabling AI agents with dedicated on-chain wallets
TON Tech introduces Agentic Wallets — an open, self-custodial standard that lets AI agents manage funds and send transactions on TON without requiring user approval for every transaction, while keeping full user control. Each agent operates a dedicated on-chain wallet funded by the user, with no intermediary involved.
Getting started is straightforward: a user asks their agent to create a wallet, funds it and confirm setup. From there, control is clearly separated — the user retains ownership through their main wallet, while the agent can transact only within defined limits. Funds can be withdrawn at any time and access can be revoked.
The standard works with existing TON wallets — requires no upgrades, and integrates without vendor lock-in, allowing developers to implement and manage their own setups independently. It is compatible with leading AI models and agent frameworks, and includes MCP & CLI for building and managing agent workflows.
In Telegram, this becomes immediately actionable. Bot API and recent bot-to-bot communication allow agents to interact autonomously. Agentic Wallets extend that foundation: agents on Telegram can now not only communicate, but also make payments within the chat interface.

How MCP enables on-chain actions for agents on TON
We publicly announced Agentic Wallets on TON — an open, self-custodial standard that lets agents manage assets through dedicated wallets. But just having a wallet isn’t enough. For an agent to use TON, it needs to be able to find and connect tools for interacting with the blockchain.
That’s why we built mcp.ton.org — a simple entry point for connecting AI agents to TON. MCP gives agents access to tools for working with the blockchain, while skills provide ready-to-use instructions. A user copies a single command, and the agent gets a ready way to work with the blockchain. All skills are open and available in the ton-org/skills.
Now developers have a ready-to-use execution layer for agents on TON. After connecting MCP and installing skills, an agent can check balances, send transactions, swap tokens, work with NFTs and execute more advanced scenarios like buying xStocks or managing Agentic Wallets. All actions are built from reusable primitives and executed through MCP, which allows developers to move directly to building agent logic.

4 public TON dashboards worth watching right now:
🌸 TON Staking
Staking yield recently spiked toward ~20% APY in TON terms after higher emission. Track validators, liquid staking, inflation and real yield.

🌻 Fragment
TON’s core utility protocol: usernames, numbers, gifts. TVL matters, but real on-chain revenue matters more.

🏦 TON on CEX
Tracks TON deposits and withdrawals across major exchanges. Since 2026, more TON has been leaving CEXs than entering.

🪷 TON Believers Fund
Tracks the large unlock and where released TON goes. So far, staking absorbs more TON than CEX deposits.

Acton — a unified toolchain for TON
Acton is an all-in-one CLI built around Tolk — from project creation to tests, debugging, dApp integration, deployment, and verification.
❤5🔥3👏2
Introducing Acton — a new, modern toolchain for developing smart contracts on TON
Acton covers the full development lifecycle: project creation, testing, debugging, dApp integration, deployment, and verification.
CLI-first by design, it works naturally for both developers and AI agents.
1. One toolchain, not a bunch of utilities
Create, build, test, lint, format, deploy, and verify TON contracts in a single coherent environment around Tolk.
2. A tighter build-test-debug loop
Write tests directly in Tolk programming language, run them fast, debug failed transactions, and inspect what actually happened on-chain.
3. Security built in
Coverage, fuzzing, mutation testing, gas profiling, and CI help catch regressions early.
4. A native debugger
Step in, step over, step out, watch variables, and inspect the call stack. A smooth Web2-style developer experience, now inside a blockchain language.
5. Friendly for AI agents
A modern CLI tool that becomes an agent's runtime, with skills and manuals bundled.
6. IDE integtation
Use it with VS Code, JetBrains, Cursor, Zed, and other LSP‑based editors.
