Overview
Hi — this is my concept for Telegram Nodes for the Design Contest 2025.
The task is to preserve the spirit of Telegram, but introduce scalable spaces (Nodes) that work for both regular users and teams and creators. I approached the task carefully: this is not a copy of Discord or Slack — I designed Node as a native Telegram system, with familiar navigation, easy-to-understand roles, flexible profiles, and quick access to live content (Live, Groups, Direct).
This channel contains all the mockups (iOS/Android, day/night), flow analysis, and the final video demo.

#what
What is a Node
A Node is a separate space inside Telegram that brings together chats, voice rooms and direct messages within a single context.
Each Node has:
• its own name, description and image,
• a dedicated user profile inside the Node,
• a roles and permissions system,
• an independent content structure.
Users can seamlessly switch between their main Telegram inbox and Nodes, keeping personal and contextual communication clearly separated.

#entrypoints
Where and How to Open a Node
There are several native and intuitive ways to access a Node:
➖ Tabs
A new Nodes tab appears in the main navigation, leading to the list of connected Nodes.
➖ User profile / side menu (Android)
Tapping on a user profile opens a list of available actions, including Nodes.
On Android, the same access is provided through the side menu.
➖ Creation flow
When creating a group, channel or other entity, users can choose Create Node.
This follows Telegram’s familiar creation patterns.
All entry points are designed to make Nodes feel like a natural part of Telegram rather than a separate mode.

Node Creation Flow
The Node creation flow follows Telegram’s familiar and proven patterns:
➖ A short onboarding explaining what a Node is
➖ Filling in Node details:
• image,
• name,
• description
➖ Creating a user profile inside the Node
• with the option to use your real name and photo to simplify the entry threshold
➖ Selecting Node type: Public or Private
The flow is intentionally minimal and lightweight, allowing users to create a Node and start using it immediately.

Inside a Node
Once inside a Node, the user enters a separate space with its own navigation and content.
The mockups include:
• a standard Node view,
• an interface with extended actions for admins,
• a regular user interface.
The Node is clearly separated from the main Telegram inbox while preserving familiar patterns such as lists, menus and navigation logic.

Categories Inside a Node
Content inside a Node is divided into several categories:
➖Groups
Text-based groups for topic discussions and communication.
➖Live rooms
Voice channels inside a Node.
While browsing a Node, users can immediately see the number of active participants in each room.
Live rooms are designed for real-time conversations, meetings and community interaction.
➖Direct
Private messages inside the Node.
When joining a Node, a separate profile is created, and all Direct communication happens strictly within that Node context.
This structure supports public discussion, live voice presence and private communication at the same time.

#roles
Roles & Permissions
Node management is based on a roles and permissions system.
Admins can:
• view the list of roles,
• create new roles,
• configure permissions for each role,
• manage admins and members.
This role model allows Nodes to scale from small communities to large corporate environments with clear responsibility distribution.

#roadmap
Project Scaling
In the future, Nodes can evolve into a full platform inside Telegram.
Potential scaling directions include:
• Node-level activity analytics,
• tools for creators,
• advanced moderation features,
• search for public Nodes,
• APIs and bot integrations,
• extended use cases for corporate clients.
The key focus is preserving Telegram’s simplicity while scaling functionality and audience size.

💥 Telegram Nodes
Nodes bring a new way to organize communication in Telegram.
A Node is a dedicated space with its own profile that combines chats, voice rooms and direct messages. Switch between Nodes and your main inbox while keeping contexts separate.
Inside a Node:
• Groups — text discussions
• Live rooms — voice channels with active participants
• Direct — private messages within the Node
Nodes work for users, creators and teams. Watch the demo to see Nodes in action.
