Happy Mother’s Day! As we grow older, we appreciate more deeply the care, sacrifices and quiet strength of our mothers, providing strong pillars of unconditional support. Much of what they do goes unnoticed, but shapes our lives in lasting ways. Whether with a hug or a kiss, do show your love and appreciation to your mum, not just today but every day. ❤️ go.gov.sg/9sl41l

Arrived in Nanning, Guangxi, for my visit to China this week. As a regional capital close to Southeast Asia, Nanning is a main gateway for cooperation between ASEAN and China. Looking forward to the meetings and visits over the next few days to learn more about Guangxi and explore how we can strengthen our ties. go.gov.sg/lwd45f

Happy to see the success of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor during my visit to the Beibu Gulf International Port Group HQ yesterday. The world is in an unsettled state. International trade is also affected. Countries must work together to promote economic integration, and trade and investments with one another, so as to protect and improve the lives of our people. go.gov.sg/wbn27f

Also visited the China-Singapore Nanning International Logistics Park (CSILP). Not only is it a node for inbound trade from ASEAN to China, it also provides logistics and services to help PRC businesses explore opportunities in the ASEAN market. I am confident that Singapore and ASEAN, together with China, will continue to forge win-win cooperation in trade, investments, and other areas, for the benefit of our countries and peoples.

Was able to squeeze in some #jalanjalan over the past two days in Nanning. Took in some fresh morning air at Qingxiu mountain (青秀山) yesterday, the ‘green lung’ of Nanning. Was also delighted to stroll around the historic and cultural district Sanjie Liangxiang (三街两巷), which translates to “Three Streets and Two Alleys”. Heading to Shanghai next. Looking forward to the upcoming meetings and engagements! go.gov.sg/w0qt9u

Joined business and economic leaders at the J.P. Morgan Global China Summit in Shanghai yesterday.
Also visited the Shanghai Municipal Humanoid Robot Innovation Incubator. Delighted to see the wide range of applications of robotics and AI. Robots and AI are rapidly advancing and transforming how we live and work. It can also improve our quality of life by doing tasks that would otherwise require people and resources. To reap the benefits we have to update ourselves, upskill, adapt, and embrace new technologies. Then we remain relevant to the world and keep Singapore special. go.gov.sg/577pu1

Today, Buddhists around the world observe Vesak Day, commemorating the birth, enlightenment and passing of Gautama Buddha. Many devotees will spend the day in prayer, reflection and acts of generosity. May this occasion bring peace and serenity to all, and inspire us to live by the Buddha’s teachings of compassion and kindness.

If the skies are clear this evening, look out for the full moon. Tonight's full moon is a "Blue Moon", so called because it is the second full moon in the same calendar month. It is also a "Micro Moon", as the Moon is at its farthest distance from Earth, making it appear slightly smaller and dimmer than usual.
While not actually blue, of course 🙂 it is still a beautiful sight, and perhaps worth a photo or two. 🌕 go.gov.sg/dg1spz
