Where energy becomes tangible 🔺
You can study power systems for years — grids, loads, stability models — but none of it truly lands until you see how it all works in motion. That’s exactly what brought energy professionals from the Middle East and Africa to Kazan.
So what did it look like in practice?
⭐️ At the Energoprom Forum, fellows stepped into a high-level professional space where discussions focused on real industry challenges: infrastructure resilience, technological modernization, and the future of energy systems.
⭐️ At Innopolis University and the Free Economic Zone, they explored how digitalization, education, and business are integrated into one ecosystem — an environment where new energy solutions emerge and scale.
⭐️ As part of the program, participants visited Tatenergosbyt, Grid Company, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Iskra Volga Technopark, and also took part in a meeting with the State Committee on Tariffs of the Republic of Tatarstan.
⭐️ During an informal exchange with KSPEU international students, fellows compared academic paths, explored differences in national energy systems, and discovered how closely their challenges align across countries.
⭐️ And of course, no experience would be complete without cultural immersion: fellows uncovered the secrets of Syuyumbike, explored the Sviyazhsk Island-Grad, and expanded their vocabulary — chak-chak and echpochmak quickly became their favorite words (and dishes) .
In the end, the program offered more than knowledge — it brought together people, experiences, and moments that stay with fellows long after the fellowship is over.
💡 And if you’re an energy professional, this might be exactly where your next step begins — just give it a try.

A Way to Read the East 🏮
What happens when the study of the East moves beyond theory and into real research spaces? This is exactly what fellows explored as part of the InteRussia Fellowship in Oriental Studies at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences — working with archives, museums, and academic experts.
What did it look like in reality?
⭕️ Under the guidance of scholars from the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, fellows developed their own research projects, working directly with primary sources and visiting archives.
⭕️ At the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts in St. Petersburg, fellows worked with rare texts, focusing on how knowledge is preserved and studied.
⭕️ At the State Historical Museum, they traced how cultures and empires evolved over time. The Russian State Library became a working space for independent study, while at the State Museum of Oriental Art fellows explored culture.
⭕️ At the Hermitage Museum and the Russian Museum, fellows moved through vast collections, encountering entire histories through artworks.
By the end of the program, the experience came together as a continuous process shaped by research, place, and direct engagement with sources and collections.
💡 And if you want to see how this journey unfolds in practice — learn more now.

Inside Global Media: Where Stories are Made ⭕️
Before a story reaches the screen, it goes through dozens of decisions. For a month, InteRussia fellows from South Asian countries in Journalism stepped into this process — working in newsrooms and engaging with how global media operates.
Here’s how the program unfolded in practice
🌱 At the Sputnik studio, fellows followed editorial processes from the inside observing how stories are selected, shaped, and adapted for different audiences.
🌱 Fellows had the opportunity to speak with Maria Zakharova and Andrey Rudenko, as well as other representatives from the foreign policy and media sphere.
🌱 The program also included visits to major media platforms such as RT and TV BRICS. Fellows explored how international broadcasting works in practice.
🌱 Walking through Moscow and a visit to the ballet at the Bolshoi Theatre offered a different form of storytelling where expression is carried through movement, music, and visual composition.
By the end of the program, the experience brought together different aspects of journalism — from newsroom practice to public dialogue and cultural observation — showing how stories are shaped across spaces, formats, and perspectives.
🎊 And if you want to be part of this experience — just go for it.

Every year on June 6, a special day arrives for our fellows in Russian studies. Russia celebrates the birthday of Alexander Pushkin — a poet whose works have shaped not only Russian literature, but the Russian language itself.
By tradition, on this day our fellows together with their mentors from the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute gather at the monument to Pushkin in the heart of Moscow to pay tribute to his legacy through poetry, music, and literary readings.
From poetry readings to music, the event became a reminder that Pushkin’s works continue to unite people from different countries through a shared appreciation of language, literature, and culture.
We invite you to enjoy these special moments with us
