The ENS Explorer Alpha version has been launched on the Sepolia testnet. According to Foresight News, the ENS Explorer is designed to operate independently from the ENS Labs infrastructure. Even if servers experience downtime, the Explorer can continue functioning by directly accessing Ethereum hosted on IPFS. The team plans to introduce several features in the future, including tools for managing subdomain creation, record management, dedicated registry views, complex registration options, and performance optimization along with design improvements.#ENSExplorer #AlphaVersion #SepoliaTestnet #ForesightNews #Ethereum #IPFS #SubdomainManagement #RecordManagement #RegistryViews #RegistrationOptions #PerformanceOptimization #DesignImprovements
🚀 ENSv2 to Launch Directly on Ethereum Mainnet, Halting Namechain Development

ENS Chief Developer nick.eth has announced that ENSv2 will be deployed directly on the Ethereum mainnet, ceasing the development of its proprietary Layer 2 network, Namechain. According to Foresight News, this decision was influenced by the unexpectedly rapid expansion of Ethereum Layer 1. Following the Fusaka upgrade in 2025, which increased the Gas limit to 60 million, the Gas cost for ENS registration has decreased by 99% over the past year, with average registration fees dropping below $0.05.
Despite halting Namechain development, the roadmap for ENSv2 remains unchanged. The team will continue to work on features such as one-click registration, cross-chain stablecoin payment support, and a new registry design. The ENS team believes that staying on Layer 1 eliminates the additional trust assumptions associated with Layer 2 and leverages Ethereum's robust infrastructure.
Currently, the new ENS App and ENS Explorer have entered public Alpha testing.#ENSv2 #Ethereum #Mainnet #Layer2 #Namechain #FusakaUpgrade #GasLimit #ENSregistration #CrossChain #Stablecoin #ENSApp #ENSExplorer #Blockchain #ETH
