According to BlockBeats, a young cybercriminal has been sentenced to prison for exploiting hijacked social media accounts to steal NFTs and cryptocurrency. Cameron Albert Redman, a 22-year-old Canadian citizen, received a one-year prison sentence on Tuesday for conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, and conspiracy to commit aggravated identity theft.
In 2022, Redman and his accomplices targeted hacked social media accounts of digital artists to post links to counterfeit websites mimicking well-known creators and brands.
