According to BlockBeats, the Singapore Police Force has released data for the first half of 2025, indicating a decrease in fraud and cybercrime. The total losses from scams amounted to approximately 456 million SGD, marking a reduction of about 66 million SGD compared to the previous year. The number of fraud and cybercrime cases fell by 21.5% to 22,476, down from 28,625 cases in the same period last year.
Cryptocurrency-related scams accounted for nearly 18% of the total losses, reaching 81.6 million SGD. These scams primarily involved USDT, Bitcoin, and Ethereum.
