According to BlockBeats, OpenAI has announced a significant restructuring of its executive team, introducing a new role of Chief Technology Officer for applications. The company has also acquired product analytics firm Statsig for $1.1 billion. Statsig specializes in product optimization services such as A/B testing. Its founder and CEO, Vijaye Raji, will join OpenAI as the Chief Technology Officer for applications, reporting directly to Fidji Simo, the CEO of OpenAI's applications division.
Fidji Simo joined OpenAI after resigning from her position as CEO of the grocery delivery platform Instacart on August 18. OpenAI stated that following the completion of the acquisition, Statsig employees will be integrated into the OpenAI team.
