According to BlockBeats, on October 27, Ordinals founder Casey Rodarmor issued a reminder on the X platform, urging users to promptly upgrade their ord wallets to version 0.21.2. This update addresses a critical vulnerability that could result in the unintended loss of runes when using the 'ord wallet send' function due to the incorrect creation of change outputs.
Casey explained that when a UTXO input contains multiple runes (A and B), sending rune A could inadvertently cause rune B to be sent as well. The update also introduces a wallet address message signing feature and fixes an issue with minting progress display.
