The attack, which spanned two months, involved manipulation of stored data. Analysts have identified two phases in the attack: initially, the attacker executed a legitimate initialization transaction to insert a malicious intermediary proxy into the USPD stabilizer. Subsequently, the attacker used this proxy to grant privileged roles to their contract, exploiting these privileges 78 days later to carry out the attack.

🚀 USPD V1 Faces Attack, Compensation Plan Announced

According to Foresight News, an official announcement from USPD revealed that USPD V1 experienced a CPIMP deployment attack on December 4, 2025. The incident was not due to a smart contract vulnerability. The team plans to distribute redeemable Claim Tokens to approximately 230 affected users at a 1:1 ratio in January 2026. Additionally, an independent protocol revenue compensation pool will be established.
