Two Russian Tu-142 bombers were detected and tracked after entering the Alaskan and Canadian Air Defense Identification Zone, according to a statement from the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). According to Jin10, multiple military aircraft from the United States and Canada, including F-35 and F-22 fighter jets, KC-135 aerial refueling planes, an E-3 AWACS aircraft, Canadian CF-18 fighter jets, and a CC-150 aerial refueling plane, were deployed to identify, monitor, and intercept the Russian aircraft within the air defense zone.
