According to Odaily, South Korea's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) has granted a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license to Happy Block, marking the second cryptocurrency brokerage to receive such approval. This development suggests a potential shift towards allowing companies to purchase Bitcoin and other digital assets. In December of last year, the FIU issued a VASP license to another brokerage, Waybridge. Operating under the support of the Financial Services Commission (FSC), South Korea's top regulatory body, the FIU is the sole authority in the country authorized to issue VASP licenses.
