According to PANews, OpenAI has announced plans to expand its 'Stargate' data center infrastructure by adding five new sites over the next three years, providing a total power capacity of 7 gigawatts. This announcement was made at OpenAI's flagship site in Abilene, Texas, with partners including Oracle and SoftBank. The new sites will be located in Lordstown, Ohio; Shackelford and Milam, Texas; Doña Ana, New Mexico; and an undisclosed location in the Midwest. OpenAI stated in a blog post that the company is evaluating additional sites, and these new locations have allowed it to complete its original plan ahead of schedule.
