According to PANews, a recent survey by the well-known technology and consumer electronics media outlet CNET reveals that many consumers are not fond of artificial intelligence (AI) features on smartphones from companies like Apple, Google, and Samsung, especially if they have to pay for them. The survey indicates that 25% of smartphone users find AI features unhelpful, while 45% are unwilling to pay a monthly subscription fee for these features. Additionally, 34% of respondents express concerns about privacy issues related to AI functionalities. More than half (52%) of smartphone users show no interest in purchasing foldable phones. The primary motivation for American adult smartphone users to upgrade their devices is longer battery life, cited by 61% of respondents. This is followed by the need for more storage space (46%) and better camera capabilities (38%).
