Stonfiers! TON’s latest upgrade reduces network fees by ~6× in line with Pavel Durov’s MTONGA plan.

The previous Catchain 2.0 update laid the groundwork by improving overall blockchain performance. Since then, the team has continued stacking optimizations.

💎 Numbers behind this update:
• Cheaper on-chain actions: fees went down to about ~$0.0005 per transaction
• That’s about 6× cheaper, or roughly 83% lower fees!

2️⃣ TonSense — from hackathon project to real product
Born during the STON.fi Vibe Coding Hackathon, TonSense is a DeFi toolkit combining staking reward tracking, swap simulation, and AI-powered analysis, available as a web app and a Telegram bot.
STON.fi powers swaps end-to-end: live quotes via the STONfi REST API, and transaction building via the official STONfi SDK, routed on-chain through the v2 router via TON Connect.

🗿 Cross-Chain Swaps Are Now Testable: Omniston Update Is Live in the Sandbox

Stonfiers! Omniston just crossed a line: v1beta8 introduces a cross-chain execution layer, and the sandbox already supports multiple live scenarios. It’s the start of Omniston as a cross-chain execution engine builders can plug into.

The new Omniston v1beta8 model introduces first cross-chain flows TON ↔️ Base and TON ↔️ Polygon, focusing on stablecoin scenarios with USDT, USDC or pUSD. Builders can already get their hands on it!

❓ What's new under the hood?
Previously, Omniston focused on collecting routes and optimizing execution inside TON. With v1beta8, the protocol separates quote discovery, execution coordination, settlement, and tracking into a unified execution pipeline designed to scale across chains.

For builders, this is meaningful: quote competition, execution coordination, and tracking are part of the protocol layer itself. That means your team can focus on building great UX not on maintaining fragmented cross-chain infrastructure.

This is a hands-on build sprint powered by AI coding agents. You’ll build on real TON infrastructure with support from teams shaping the ecosystem: STON.fi and Wallet in Telegram.

• STONfi Track: build an app on STONfi infrastructure
1st place: $250 · 2nd place: $150 · 3rd place: $100
• Wallet in Telegram Track: build an agentic swapping bot or agentic solution with @wallet
1st place: $200 · 2nd place: $100
• Participation pool: $700 split equally among all valid submissions

📅 Timeline
• Submit your application: May 25–May 31 (16:00 UTC)
• Get reviewed and prepared for the hackathon: June 1–4
• Learn and build during the hackathon: June 4–8 (07:00 UTC)
• Present your project on Demo Day: June 8
