Take extra precautions to avoid close contact with:
Body fluids of infected persons
Urine, faeces, saliva, or blood of infected rodents
Objects, household items, surfaces, or eating food contaminated by infected rodents

The most common signs and symptoms of #Meningitis include:

➡️Vomiting
➡️Drowsiness
➡️Lack of appetite
➡️Sensitivity to light
➡️Rashes
➡️Seizures

Visit a healthcare facility for immediate attention if you observe any of these symptoms.
Healthcare workers are advised to always be vigilant - lookout for symptoms of #LassaFever, not all fevers are malaria.

Any febrile illness that has not responded to the use of anti-malaria or antibiotics after 48 hrs should raise an index of suspicion for #LF.

All healthcare workers should have a high index of suspicion for #LassaFever in individuals that have not responded to standard anti-malaria treatment & treatment for other common infectious causes of fever within 48-72 hours

Healthcare workers should raise suspicion for patients with a history of contact with

➡️a probable/confirmed case of #LassaFever within 21 days of onset of fever
➡️body fluids/tissues of a patient with a febrile illness, symptoms & signs suggestive of #LF
