The trip to Dubai has been so intense. One meeting to another, then another event, and another meeting. Barely have time to catch my breath 😮‍💨

The best part is that I brought my mom here, and we finally got to meet up 💞It’s so nice to see friends, familiar faces, and soak up the warm Dubai sun, stocking up on vitamin D ☀️

Trainings, singing, and dancing classes in between 🏃‍♂️

Dubai 🌴is definitely something else – the energy, the vibe, the nonstop movement – exciting 🚀
But I realized that all the hustle, the endless traffic, and those huge distances don’t really fit where I’m at right now

The towering skyscrapers and all that luxury are fun to experience for a bit, but they don’t quite feel like "me".

Paris, on the other hand, feels way closer to my heart with its calm, slower pace. I love those narrow streets full of history, the old buildings, the beauty around every corner, and dogs everywhere 🐶

People in Paris seem to live a bit differently – you can feel the culture right away. There’s a love for tradition and a whole vibe of just enjoying the moment that’s really special. Dubai, though, is all about hustling and constant running (which is awesome, but you’ve gotta be in the right mood for it 😅). And I really respect the people here – so many talented, hardworking folks making the city better every day 🔥

But that Parisian lifestyle just feels more like home to me. So, after my time in Dubai, I can’t wait to get back to that comfort, that calm, and those long, relaxing walks 🚶‍♀️🌲

Guys 👀
It’s the weekend!

Before it kicks off, I thought I’d share some fun movie and TV show recommendations to help you practice English with subtitles! 🎥

These picks are packed with natural accents and interesting dialogues, so they’re great for improving your pronunciation while watching some amazing stories. I know a lot of you are looking for tips on learning English, so I’ve put together a list of modern favorites with both British and American accents. Let’s jump in! 🍿

🇺🇸 American Accents:

Ripley (2024)
This is an intense series based on Patricia Highsmith’s novels. The main character, Tom Ripley, has a classic American accent. Since part of the story is set in Europe, you’ll also hear some British accents from the supporting cast. Fun fact: Andrew Scott, who’s known for his Irish accent, plays an American here

Disclaimer (2024)
One of the most talked-about series right now, directed by Alfonso Cuarón and starring Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline. While it features a mix of accents due to its global setting and diverse cast, the primary focus is on American accents, as the story follows a U.S. journalist. It’s still a great pick for practicing and understanding American speech patterns

🇬🇧 British Accents:

The Banshees of Inisherin (2022)
This heartfelt movie is a great way to hear the unique and melodic Irish accent. With stars like Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson, you’ll get an authentic Irish vibe, with a hint of British tones here and there. Perfect for exploring how English sounds in different regions

The King’s Speech (2010)
An all-time classic! This movie is perfect for hearing formal, polished British English (aka "received pronunciation"). It’s about King George VI and his struggle to overcome a stammer—an inspiring watch.

Aftersun (2022)
This beautiful father-daughter drama has accents that are close to British (even though some actors are Irish). It’s an excellent choice for picking up conversational and emotional English.

Saltburn (2023)
A dark and moody drama packed with upper-class British accents. If you want to immerse yourself in rich, elegant tones, this one’s for you.

A Little Extra 🤏
For American accents, you can’t go wrong with classics like "Friends" or "The Office".

For British accents, the "Harry Potter" films and modern "Sherlock Holmes" series are perfect—especially on cozy evenings in autumn or winter! 🍂🎄❄️

Quick Tips for Watching in English:

1️⃣ Turn on English subtitles—they’re super helpful for catching new words and phrases

2️⃣ Repeat lines out loud to practice pronunciation

3️⃣ Jot down any cool phrases or expressions you want to remember

Enjoy your language practice and have fun watching! 🤪🍿🎬

GAMING 👎

can change people and help develop skills that some struggle to master their whole lives
🤯

Yep, video games are actually super beneficial! 🎮

Experienced this firsthand, and now I want to share my story with you >

I hope my fellow gamers are here because I’ve risen from the ashes 🌋, and something exciting is coming your way soon 🤫 But for now, let me tell you what gaming has done for me:

1️⃣ Lightning-fast reflexes and attention to detail
Every quick decision in a game sharpens your brain. I’ve become so much better at spotting details I used to miss, and I can now handle fast-paced tasks without losing focus for long stretches of time 🤕

2️⃣ Precision and coordination
Eye-hand coordination isn’t just a fancy phrase—it’s the real deal. Gaming has made me faster, more accurate, and way more confident in my actions in real life (my reflexes are fast🕷)
Fun fact: Elon Musk mentioned the benefits of gaming in this context during his podcast with Joe Rogan 😱

3️⃣ Language skills
Talking to players from all over the world has helped me learn English in ways no textbook ever could. Games teach you how to overcome language barriers, understand slang, and even appreciate cultural humor 😂

4️⃣ Staying calm under pressure
When every move in a game matters, you learn how to deal with stress and stay in control. This has made me much more composed in tough situations in real life 🤬

5️⃣ Tech-savviness
Computers, software, troubleshooting—it all feels less intimidating thanks to gaming. Now I know I can figure things out if I need to, and I’m not scared of tackling new tech 🌡

6️⃣ Analytical thinking and foresight
Games teach you to predict opponents’ moves, analyze situations, and make smart decisions. In life, I’ve started thinking a few steps ahead, whether it relates to work or in everyday situations ⭐️
