InteRussia in Belgrade 🇷🇸

On March 16, the Russian House in Belgrade hosted a meeting with participants of the InteRussia fellowships.

Alyona Isakova, coordinator of the fellowship for artists and specialists in Russian studies, presented the upcoming InteRussia programs for 2026.

What we discussed:

impressions from living and studying in Russia;
how the fellowship contributes to academic and professional trajectories;
opportunities for further cooperation and international networking.

These meetings are always something more than just a gathering. They are a reminder that InteRussia is not only about academic mobility — it is about building a sustainable international community, where professional dialogue turns into lasting human connections.

❤️ — if you are waiting for InteRussia in your country next.

The InteRussia Fellowship in International Relations Starts at MGIMO University 💬

On March 17, the MGIMO Institute for International Studies welcomed a new wave of the InteRussia fellowship for professionals in International Relations and Political Science.

Lyana Dymova, Academic Programs Coordinator at the Gorchakov Fund, emphasized the importance of dialogue in a changing world:

We are witnessing a profound transformation of the international system, where public diplomacy and professional engagement are becoming ever more significant. Through the InteRussia fellowship, a new community of professionals is being formed — one that not only allows for exchanges of knowledge and ideas, but also serves as an important channel of cooperation between countries.

The participants were also addressed by

🔹Dr. Andrey Baykov, Vice-Rector for Science and Research at MGIMO University;
🔹Dr. Maxim Suchkov, Director of the MGIMO Institute for International Studies.

This year’s tenth cohort brings together professionals from Brazil, France, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Pakistan, South Africa, and Zambia.

Over the next six weeks, fellows will work under the guidance of MGIMO’s leading scholars and develop their own research projects.

The InteRussia fellowship in international relations is implemented by the Mezhdunarodniki Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation in cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund and MGIMO Institute for International Studies with grant support from the Presidential Grants Foundation.

Eid al-Fitr is a moment to pause, to embrace the warmth of togetherness, and to reflect on the strength, patience, and compassion that have guided us through the past month.

May this special day bring light to your home, peace to your heart, and a deep sense of gratitude and renewal. May all the kindness and intentions you have nurtured grow into something truly meaningful in the days ahead.

Eid Mubarak 🌟

Kristina Mikavica’s story — the first visually impaired InteRussia fellow — is one you don’t forget⭐️

During the selection process, experts usually focus on experience, education, and motivation. Kristina had all of that in her application. But at the very end, there was one short line: “I can barely see (90% vision loss).”

This detail could have gone unnoticed. Yet it became the beginning of a story that makes you rethink what we mean by “limitations” and “opportunities.”

Kristina’s story is not just about a fellowship. It is an example for anyone who hesitates, postpones, or is afraid to take a step toward their dream.

➡️ Read more in the cards or on our website.

📌 And if you’re ready to take a step toward your dream, apply for the Russian Studies fellowship. The time to stop being afraid has come.

The text is based on Kristina’s voice messages.

The InteRussia fellowship is implemented with the support from the Presidential Grants Foundation.
