in reports using inline buttons and some other kinds of messages will always be sent to the General topic. Other than that, the bot will treat all topics the same and reply in the correct topic where applicable. All settings and #extra commands work across topics.Support for topics for Werewolf is yet to come - we're working on it.

The werewolf bots suddenly stopped working.
When trying to find the problem, I was greeted with a bunch of 500-errors by telegram, indicating some problem on their side.
We'll keep an eye on this and let you know when the bots are back to normal :)

With the upcoming telegram update, all payments for digital goods and services need to be done in Telegram Stars
(See official @BotNews channel, announcing the changes for bot developers).
That includes tipping developers.
We can sadly not switch our donation system easily (payments would only be accessible via the TON blockchain for us - the developers cannot update everything accordingly as of now).
The background to this are policies by Apple and Google who take a share of any purchase made inside an app downloaded from the App Store / Play Store. Apple forces Telegram to change payments for digital services in this way in order to comply with the App Store guidelines. #BlameApple
Since continuing the donations like they are now might risk getting our bots blocked, and XSolla donations are currently not working anyway, we will soon disable all donations for an undetermined time.

[Executrix Admin Cache]
Telegram apparently had a bug earlier today where it treated all group admins as anonymous admins, no matter if they were actually anonymous. If Executrix updated its cache for your group in that timeframe, admins may currently not be recognized as such by the bot.
To fix this, have an elevated user use

Telegram is currently having issues with the bot API - many bots appear to be affected, including the werewolf bots and executrix. We will disable new games until the problem seems to be resolved.

In addition to telegram's issue, our server is also overloaded now. We will try to fix this but it will probably take some hours until somebody gets to it, so please be patient. Do not spam bot commands, it does not help and only risks getting you banned from our bots. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Today, on 18th of March, the first creation of @werewolfbot was exactly 9 years ago! We made it to nearly a decade of Telegram wuffing!
To celebrate this, we have just released 9 new achievements - enjoy trying to get them and happy wuffing! 🐺

The problem is likely to resolve itself soon enough.

10 years of (almost :P) continuous operation, lots of fun, friendships, dramas and lowly villagers being eated.
The exact date of @werewolfbot's birth is March 18th, 2016. So in the few days until then, we would like to take you on a small journey through time, allowing you to see what playing werewolf was like 10 years ago. It was... different.
Starting right now, you get to experience a hint of the original werewolf experience as of May 2016, when the bot was starting to grow massively.
