The major change of switching the TON ticker name to Gram while keeping the ecosystem name as TON Blockchain caused a major pullback across many memes alongside Bitcoin dumping hard.

The TON to Gram transition might take 3 weeks as Durov mentioned, but the real transition could take years imo.

Just like how people still call X “Twitter.”

Durov said this is an important path for what’s coming next.

Gotta trust the goat with his plans.

I choose to stay bullish regardles but I still can’t deny that I think not playing with ticker names would have been better, because this is only creating more questions.

TON needed to make things more basic and easier to understand when onboarding new people.

We already have tons of new things to explain: what Gifts, usernames, and anonymous numbers are, why memes are better on Telegram and TON, how Telegram is welcoming Web3, etc.

And now we have one more thing to explain: the ticker name is Gram, but we still call it TON Blockchain. And TON DNS is staying the same.

It’s just creating more questions and making things harder to understand.
