So @dogs team launched a near-exact copy of my website hoton.tg. Same hero text, same tab structure, form layout, placeholder text, etc.
I never knew until I saw it while scrolling X a few days ago.
The only big difference is that they gave it a black theme and slapped the DOGS brand on it. Every other elements are from hoton.tg😀
I'm flattered, ngl, but I'm also surprised… because who would have thought they would do such? 😅
They definitely have enough resources and a team to build something different from scratch, even if they want to vibe code it, than to copy paste what a solo dev spent sleepness nights building🤳
It just feels kinda strange that they went this route and they never had any prior contact with me before doing such, lol
But nevertheless. We keep building.🚬

Made some huge UI improvements. Added a Video/image preview, and they follow the theme transition when you switch themes and vice versa.
Spent my whole night just trying to get it perfect lol.

By the way, vibe coding is not as easy as you think; you have to know how to prompt properly if you want your work to be easier and faster.
I’m still learning tho… and it’s fun, honestly. I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube videos and am still going through the Claude course, which is actually very helpful.
I think I’m getting addicted, which I don’t know if it’s a good or bad thing. Sometimes I don’t sleep or eat until I’ve fixed a certain bug😕

I knew it before that, when conviction mattered more than attention.
To me, it was never just about price. It was a vision, and I was around when that vision had to survive on belief, community, and people who kept building even when the spotlight was not on them.
I’ve watched TON live through chapters most projects do not make it through. Telegram had to step away; the community carried it forward, and TON kept going when most people had already moved on.
Now, seeing TON back in Telegram's orbit again feels like the vision found its way back home. You only really understand that feeling if you were around early.
26th May 2021 is more than a date.
It reminds me that real visions can be delayed, doubted, and tested, but they do not disappear easily. In many ways, that feels like @monk too, patient, resilient, and still tied to the vision he started against all odds.
