Victims have reported receiving text messages from a trading platform stating, 'Your verification code is 819121 for withdrawal. If you have not requested this code, please call 0330 027 1814 to contact us.' Upon calling the number, victims encounter a sophisticated scam where the caller claims a security breach and promises to notify other cryptocurrency verification companies to implement security restrictions, assuring a quick investigation and callback.
Shortly after, victims receive a call from someone posing as a representative from 'Ledger,' who claims there are security issues and offers professional assistance.
