On February 7, Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister, Denys Shmyhal, reported that Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. According to Jin10, the targets included substations forming the core of the national grid, as well as 750 kV and 330 kV high-voltage transmission lines, and two thermal power plants. Shmyhal noted that nuclear power plant units are currently being operated at reduced capacity by staff.
