Australia has granted a license for a 'regulated digital dollar' on the XRP Ledger, allowing banks to use compliant Australian dollar stablecoins for on-chain transactions. According to ChainCatcher, the Australian dollar stablecoin AUDD, issued by AUDC, previously received authorization from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) to provide non-cash payment facilities.
